DevOps. We hear that term a lot these days. We have talked about the difference between DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) before. We’ve also discussed how DevOps is really a movement, or cultural shift that brings about an outcome at an organization. Both those topics were discussed in this blog, Drive your Business Faster – Why CICD Matters. But what we haven’t talked about yet, is how DevOps can be the key to delighting your customers. And your customers don’t even need to know what DevOps is for that to happen.
Speed versus Accuracy
If you are a technology company, or a company that relies heavily on technology for success, chances are the products or services you sell to your customers are sold on a consumption basis or a recurring license fee. And if you are like most successful business enterprises, you are almost constantly enhancing your product or service, or the way you sell, with new or improved features and functionality. You are faced with the age-old dilemma of having to sacrifice speed for accuracy or sacrificing accuracy for speed. But why can’t you have both?
Think about that for a moment. Speed or accuracy. Accuracy or speed.
With DevOps you can have both. Let’s break it down.
